I will stamp all over 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants met personally to promote the upcoming bout.

Former two time unified boxing king Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I plan to damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will really want to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

In spite of such comments, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally famous for his showmanship - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead targeted former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK opponent Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's largest financial successes, regularly earning substantial financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in round four or five and claimed he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.

"It will be my match with Fury next year," Paul said.

Physical Difference

As both boxers participated in the traditional confrontation, with their height and weight contrast evident, it drove home just how surprising this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the match is really going ahead.
